Hello from Kansas City! We haven’t posted since being on another continent, so it was time to step out again. I spent the earlier half of my summer interning in Boulder, Colorado, so being back home after all my time away is a little boring. Luckily, I’ve had time to do some reading (expect some fall book recs in the near future), start The Mindy Project on Hulu, and avoid unpacking from Switzerland. My suitcase is still practically untouched, oops.
Most of my friends have left for college, and Annabelle and our youngest sister started school this week, so I’ve been especially looking for things to do! Today, that meant catching up on some pre-schoolwork at a coffee shop near me. Hi Hat is the cutest (and tiniest) place for a coffee fix; it’s like a little dollhouse!
When I bought these overalls this summer, it felt like a pretty bold move for me, but I’ve ended up really digging the kindergartner vibes. So 2006.
While I don’t want to embrace my inner cowgirl too much in all this denim, I couldn’t resist adding a little bandana to give my simple outfit some color. Oh, and of course a tote bag in a bandana motif… This addition is thanks to all my time in Colorado, where people do crazy things like compost and bring their own bags to the grocery store. I finally gave in and bought a few – Boulder has really gotten to me. I’m (almost) certified granola.
