With finals week just around the corner, we’re just now getting around to finishing our Ozark series. Here’s the next installment of your favorite digital trilogy!
We spent our second day in Branson at the recently renovated Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, which is owned by Big Cedar (our southern Missouri mountain resort). The park includes the stunning grounds pictured above, a gorgeous waterfall, hiking, biking, tram tours, and more. We originally planned to spend our day on a Segway tour around the park (as any cool kid would), but wimped out because of the cold. Instead, we enjoyed walking around and enjoying lunch in their restaurant.
I should probably divulge that this is not an ad for Dogwood Canyon. We genuinely just love Big Cedar and have invested two decades of trips to the Ozark gem. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you’re into minimalistic living, Dogwood Canyon may be the place to look for your next home. The park was featured on an episode of Treehouse Masters, and the treehouse is open to tour. We loved the cabin couture decorating inside, but I don’t think Annabelle appreciated the low ceilings (ugh, tall girl issues I wouldn’t know about).
Of course, Big Cedar doesn’t create any building without putting a nature museum in it, so Dogwood’s main entry made no exception. In case you didn’t know enough about the Ozarks, here are some pictures of us learning about the Ozarks:
Sarcasm aside, Big Cedar is a really dazzling place. We adore the attention to detail for guests and dedication to nature education. Our family is secretly outdoorsy, so having an escape like Dogwood Canyon every year always makes for a meaningful trip that connects us to nature and history.
