Window Shopping in Lucerne

Live from Switzerland, it’s Sunday night!

Just kidding, we’re posting this a bit late, because we’re average teenagers with procrastination problems lol #relatable. To put a bow on our trip to Switzerland, we took an afternoon to explore Lucerne, and we were not disappointed.

Of course, we couldn’t stop ourselves from snapping a few shots outside our stunning hotel. With Blue Balls festival-goers abound, we even got live music out of this photoshoot. And Annabelle got to channel her inner bird (we’re getting some serious Can’t Be Tamed vibes from this pic).

Annabelle’s two-piece set was actually bought here in Lucerne, so it’s a Swiss-approved outfit. This was a pretty ~bold~ move for her, since we’re usually not crop top gals. I adore this look on her; she looks like a model, doesn’t she? We passed a group of singing Swiss men who certainly thought so. They even posed for a few pictures, as you can see! I often go for color overload in my outfits, but I finally found a monochrome look I can get onboard with (one that doesn’t cause a rainbow malfunction). Since it’s all navy, I love how the ruffles add some interest on top and bottom. Oh, and Grandma Sarah, you may recognize this shirt as my recent birthday present from you!

After a week of craving Starbucks, our inner basic girl was fulfilled when we found one downtown! We were jealous of the European pastry selection, though. Why don’t they serve pancakes and waffles in the US?

 We ended the afternoon with one more waltz around our gorgeous hotel. We couldn’t get enough of the interior, it made us feel like human Aristocats. So, aristocrats. But that’s not as fun. The pretty brocade couches in the lobby made our hearts F L U T T E R.

I couldn’t help getting one last photo of a sleepy Lucerne on our last morning. This was taken on the 5 AM walk to the train station, where we headed to Zürich for a 10-hour flight home. For Ellie, the trip back to Denver included a luxurious and lonely overnight stay in the Grand Junction, Colorado airport… It was the stuff of dreams.
