Bon voyage! Sunday morning we took a ferry across the Vierwaldstättersee (we’d like to think Derek Shepherd would approve). It offered spectacular views of mountains and lakeside villas, some of which could be considered castles. Luckily, no one got seasick, although Georgia was on the verge.
For our day’s excursion to Mount Pilatus, we took the steepest cogwheel train in the world to get to the top. Yes, ibexes and cows were present. The coolest part of the mountain was being in a cloud. The not-so-cool part was said cloud raining on us.
After an amazing week of trekking, sightseeing, and cheese fondue-ing, we had a lazy afternoon. We even swung by a small, niche, local coffee shop known as “Starbucks” and got frappuccinos and a chocolate-drizzled Belgian waffle. We missed it, OK?
After a rather long nap and a hotel room screening of Bride Wars, our family headed out for the last supper: our fifth pot of cheese fondue this week. *Cue the angelic chorus.*

I hear your grandmother C humming songs from “The Sound of Music;” she must have just read your blog postings again! I guess she is part of the ”angelic chorus” you referenced.
Safe travels please. Grandpa C.

Love the iconic Swiss cows adorned with the huge bells. Do they ring constantly?
